We are seeking a German teacher for grades 9-12 with IB Diploma Program experience. The ideal candidate will be flexible and excited to cooperate with a team of dynamic, professional languages teachers to plan, deliver, and assess student-centered curriculum in a diverse international school setting. You will hold high expectations for students and will be comfortable differentiating content and instruction for all learners. Applicants with experience working with a multilingual population, and who can contribute to the ZIS co-curricular program will be preferred.
Requirements:
Applicants must have at least 3 years experience, preferably at an international school. For non-Swiss/EU applicants, international experience is required.
- Teaching license including specialism in teacher German to fluent Language Learners Understanding of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
- Documented record of excellence in teaching
- Experience with IB Diploma Program courses
- BA / BSC or equivalent university degree
- Integration of technology into curriculum
- Commitment to an inquiry-based approach that fosters curiosity and critical thinking
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Emphasis on relationship building with students and colleagues
- Teamwork, collaboration, and active participation in school life

- Ability to teach language acquisition students
