Swisslinx, as the premier supplier to our international banking client in Basel, is seeking an adaptable and flexible Full Stack Azure Solutions Engineer with strong programming skills in Java. You will join an international team responsible for fostering innovation and adopting new technologies in Central Banks on an 80-100% basis.
This is a 12-month rolling contract with the possibility of extension based on project roadmaps, with a flexible start date.
Reporting to the Head of Department and working within a global setup, the Azure Solutions Engineer will collaborate closely with innovation project teams to support solution design and implementation in the Azure cloud. You will also design and implement a flexible foundational Azure cloud infrastructure for experimental projects.
The team is small, dynamic, multidisciplinary, and multicultural, based in Basel. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in an innovative environment with exposure to international projects involving cloud, blockchain, ML/AI, and open-source technologies.
Job Description
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing design and implementation support to innovation projects using Azure Cloud services, including:
2. Solution/Software Engineering: Supporting design and implementation of innovation projects with cutting-edge technologies.
3. Cloud Engineering: Designing and implementing cloud infrastructure, creating a flexible Azure cloud sandbox environment for rapid iteration.
4. DevOps: Implementing automation practices (DevOps/GitOps) to support agile development.
Requirements
Candidates should possess as many of the following skills as possible:
* Strong experience in programming languages such as Java, Python, Kotlin, Scala, and solution design.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Cloud, Azure AD, Azure Resource Management, Azure IaaS and PaaS, security hardening of Azure environments.
* Experience with open-source stack languages.
* Familiarity with backend frameworks like Spring Boot, Node/Express/Koa.
* Nice to have: experience with Azure DevOps, React, Git, agile methodologies (Scrum), and next-gen technologies like Blockchain and AI.
