LIGENTEC is a rapidly growing European deep‑tech Process Design House headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, with R&D and manufacturing operations in France. We develop, design, manufacture, and test Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) for demanding applications in Sensing, Connectivity, and Computing.
The purpose of this position is to provide an excellent customer experience by offering pre‑ and post‑sales technical support, strengthening the sales team, technical marketing and business development.
Responsibilities
* Technical Engineering & Solutions
o Translate customer needs into workable solutions.
o Discuss and define SoW (Statement of Work) with customers, prospects, and project partners.
o Proof of concept PIC design studies and PIC Layouts.
o Provide technical customer support during the whole sales cycle (pre‑sales to after‑sales), including explaining technology details.
o Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering/R&D) to develop tailored solutions.
* Sales & Account Management
o Cultivate positive customer relationships and act as the primary customer interface.
o Manage the sales pipeline in CRM and achieve sales targets.
o Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and project partners.
* Strategy & Market Intelligence
o Contribute to the marketing strategy with content and activities (talks, application notes, press releases, webinars).
o Understand and analyze market trends and requirements.
Qualifications
* Highly customer and solution‑oriented mindset.
* 3+ years hands‑on experience in integrated optics or a PhD in integrated optics.
* Industry experience of 3+ years in technical sales, application engineering or a similar role is a big plus.
* Proven track record of meeting sales targets in a technical environment is a plus.
* Previous customer interaction is a plus.
* Ability to translate customer needs to clear specifications.
* Hands‑on experience with integrated photonics software tools is a plus.
* Excellent technical problem‑solving skills.
* Open‑minded, communicative, critical, and innovative.
* Flexible in working on different tasks and with different teams.
* Ability to work in a team and independently.
* Working proficiency in English.
