Position: Senior Software Engineer – Backend, Controls Section (PSI 8212‑25669 – deadline 12.12.2025). The role is full‑time.
Your tasks
* Lead the development of the full software stack for camera and detector data acquisition service.
* Collaborate with system integrators to ensure the software is deployable, providing robust interfaces for service management and monitoring.
* Manage the build and deployment lifecycle end‑to‑end using Docker, Ansible, Git, CI/CD, and package management (Conan).
* Actively document new and existing technical solutions through specifications, test plans and procedures, user guides, technical reports and publications.
Your profile
* Degree in software engineering, computer science, or equivalent work experience.
* Extensive experience developing software in C++. Python or Rust is a plus.
* Proficiency in structured software development workflows, including issue tracking, version control (Git), and CI/CD.
* Communicative, collaborative, self‑motivated and customer‑oriented personality who enjoys teamwork.
* Good command of English, German, or readiness to learn German is an advantage.
