Job Title: Supply Chain Director – EMEA Animal Nutrition
Location: EMEA Region (Flexible within major hubs)
Position Overview
The Supply Chain Director for the Animal Nutrition business in EMEA will lead end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring seamless integration of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Demand & Supply Planning, Logistics, and Customer Service. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, optimizing cost-to-serve, and delivering superior customer experience across diverse markets in the region and for exported products to other regions where ADM is active.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
* Develop and execute the regional supply chain strategy aligned with global business objectives.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, agility, and resilience in the supply chain.
S&OP and Planning
* Lead the monthly S&OP process to ensure alignment between demand, supply, and financial targets.
* Oversee demand forecasting and supply planning to maintain optimal inventory levels and service performance.
* Collaborate with commercial teams to translate market insights into actionable supply plans.
* Work closely with other regions in ADM to ensure best in class service for the centrally produced product portfolio.
Logistics Management
* Manage regional logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
* Optimize network design and freight strategies to reduce costs while maintaining service quality.
* Ensure compliance with trade regulations and sustainability standards for the feed and animal supplement sectors.
Inventory Management
* Define and maintain an overview of optimum Raw Material and Finished Goods inventories in the network
* Support plant management by providing insights into Raw Material inventory levels by category.
* Provide focus of moving blocked, slow moving and obsolete stock to reduce destruction costs.
* Define optimum Finished Goods stocking levels for products taking into account the length of the entire supply chain and the desired customer service level within EMEA and globally.
* Drive total inventory to a minimum but sustainable level
Customer Service
* Define and implement customer service hubs best suited to the business.
* Drive a customer-centric approach to order management and fulfillment.
* Establish KPIs for service performance and implement corrective actions where needed.
* Act as the escalation point for critical customer issues, ensuring timely resolution.
People & Stakeholder Management
* Lead and develop a high-performing regional supply chain team.
* Form close relationships with procurement, manufacturing and commercial functions to ensure strategic and tactical alignment.
* Build strong relationships with external partners, including tollers, logistics providers and key customers.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
* Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
* Proven expertise in S&OP, planning, logistics, and customer service within a multinational environment.
* Strong understanding of EMEA market dynamics and regulatory requirements.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced planning tools.
