Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Smart Factory Architect to join our team. As a key member of our digital transformation, you will be responsible for implementing an Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) platform that connects to Industry 4.0.
Your primary objective will be to oversee the application components, ensuring they align with strategic goals and operate optimally. You will work on a software ecosystem based on micro-service architecture, connecting edge devices to the cloud, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external suppliers from concept to deployment.

* Create and prototype solutions, transforming concepts into shippable, refined products based on real-world feedback.
* Collaborate with project teams to understand data requirements and provide insights on data structure, availability, and usage.
* Develop documentation and specifications for systems and components, ensuring clarity and alignment.
* Maintain and optimize systems, working with team members and stakeholders to address issues, implement improvements, and perform testing and code reviews.
* Drive innovation in Smart Factory initiatives through continuous learning, mentorship, and hands-on experience.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* A minimum of 5 years of effective collaboration with project teams.
* Background in application development and customization.
* Experience with Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM.
* Manufacturing experience is advantageous.
* Strong technical skills, including Databases, Scripting (JS, Python), web languages, Event-Driven tech (MQTT, Kafka), and API interfaces.
* Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD practices, container orchestration, Cloud environments, and IoT/IIoT & Industry 4.0 concepts.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to translate business needs into innovative solutions.
* Fluent English language skills (spoken and written); German is a plus.
