Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Solutions Architect to join our dynamic technical community and expanding business in Switzerland, as part of the Swiss Commercial Team. You will collaborate with a supportive team to deliver cutting-edge cloud computing technologies to organizations across various sectors, including manufacturing, media, pharma, retail, and travel. Our goal is to deepen customer understanding of hyper-scale cloud technology and application architectures, requiring strong consultative and leadership skills to ensure successful outcomes.
As an AWS Solutions Architect, you will manage the technical relationship with customers, providing recommendations on security, cost-efficiency, performance, reliability, and operational best practices. Internally, you will advocate for customers by sharing their needs to influence AWS's feature and service roadmap. You will also contribute to shaping the Solutions Architecture team through hiring, coaching, and mentoring.
This role offers an opportunity to creatively link technology with tangible solutions, define or invent cloud-native reference architectures, and share best practices through technical content like white papers, code samples, and blogs. You will evangelize AWS technology via workshops, user groups, meetups, conferences, and online platforms.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Background in Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering, or DevOps.
* Ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
* Excellent communication skills in English, capable of leading discussions with customers and guiding operational teams.
* A passion for technology and continuous learning.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience designing, building, refactoring, or operating large-scale IT systems, either on-premises or in the cloud.
* Knowledge of cloud-native architectures.
* Experience with distributed web or mobile applications, DevOps, Serverless, Big Data, Machine Learning, enterprise workloads, high-performance databases, complex networking, and security.
* Customer-facing experience.
* AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Associate or Professional) or equivalent industry certifications.
