Your role and responsibilities
As a Country ESG Specialist, you will be responsible for ESG reporting both for ABB’s country organization in Switzerland and for one of the 16 local divisions. This deliberately designed dual role enables you, as an expert, to report relevant ESG information to the global ABB Group while also combining a well-founded overall perspective with local expertise.
We are looking for a motivated, conscientious, and professional individual who is enthusiastic about leveraging sustainability reporting as an opportunity. In this role, you act as a role model and apply your knowledge purposefully to fulfill reporting obligations. You identify patterns and derive improvement ideas from them.
Your responsibilities:
Responsibility for ESG topics within ABB’s country organization in Switzerland
Operational leadership of ESG reporting for one of the local divisions
Ensuring regulatory ESG compliance by monitoring relevant laws and regulations in close alignment with the ABB Group
Preparation and consolidation of the division’s ESG reporting data into the national reporting framework
Building and maintaining “Communities of Practice” with ABB’s global headquarters in Oerlikon, other country organizations, and local divisions
Supporting divisions with training, as well as defining and implementing improved ESG processes
Qualifications for the role
* Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sustainability, Engineering, or a related technical field
* At least five years of experience in sustainability-related roles, with sound knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and standards
* Experience in sustainability reporting is an advantage
* Solid experience in project management
* Strong skills in process analysis and design
* Good communication skills for training, networking, and stakeholder management
* Team- and solution-oriented mindset as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
