Responsibilities:
This role will participate in the development of innovative digital tools in the materials engineering space. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Developing a body of advanced material and application data
2. Collaborating with software development teams to integrate the data into digital tools, including AI tools
3. Defining requirements and collaboration with software developers to visualize the data
4. Collaborating with SMEs in diverse functions to enhance data capture to make new types of data available
5. Development of strong supporting documents for materials and applications
6. Development of other digital features as required
Qualifications:
Required Background and Skills:
7. 8-10 years of experience in R&D and/or Application Development roles
8. Minimum of Bachelors in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or related field
9. Familiarity with engineering materials, their applications, and material properties
10. Familiarity with material test methods and their relevance to application requirements
11. Ability to communicate well and influence peers
12. Ability to work independently and formulate roadmaps for advancing project objectives
13. Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel
14. Ability to cope with complexity
15. Data and fact driven
16. Creative mindset
Nice to Have Skills:
17. Familiarity with agile project management
18. Experience with software development
19. Familiarity with data tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, etc
20. Skill in multiple languages
