Reporting to the Traction Service Sales and Marketing Manager you will support the Sales organization and customers throughout the sales process in the assigned area. You will be part of the Sales Team that focuses on Traction Transformer Service in Europe. As Service Sales Engineer it is your exciting task to facilitate the sustainable mobility transition by a cutting-edge rail product and rail service portfolio for rolling stock equipment. In this team, you will work with international peers having many years of experience within the on-board traction transformer service business for rolling stock equipment. Based in Geneva, the role will assume responsibility for the rail customers in Europe (OEM train manufacturers, rail operators, leasing companies). /p h3How You’ll Make An Impact /h3 ul liSupporting the Sales team and customers throughout the sales process, while developing new and existing business by increasing internal and external knowledge of products and market /li liPreparing technical offer in accordance with Unit portfolio and customer need. Clarifying technical and commercial aspects of the offer /li liParticipating in sales strategy discussions, assigning short- and long-term goals and negotiating the various Product Group sales budgets and marketing plans /li liIdentifying customer needs and competitor offers through market analysis, ensuring efficient marketing actions and communications demonstrate the value proposition of the products, systems, service and packages /li liSupporting the area Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and providing technical support, product presentations and product/solution/service-related training /li liTaking ownership of specific customer cases to ensure efficient customer issue resolution and analyzing the root cause of any lost proposals, to increase future competitiveness /li liPerforming sales performance reviews, proposing recovery plans in cases of potential order shortfalls and providing regular sales activity reports to assist in production planning /li liLiving core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business /li /ul h3Your background /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in engineering and more than 2 years of experience in direct sales and sales management /li liKnowledge of rail rolling stock market and rail customers (OEM train manufacturers, rail operators, leasing companies) is an advantage /li liFluent in French and English, both written and spoken. Other languages are an advantage /li liExperience in business development, account management and cross-selling across systems, solutions, products and service categories /li liUnderstanding of offer preparation, contract negotiation, risk management and commercial and legal terms /li liTraveling mainly within the European Union if needed.
