Analyst | Biotech Venture Builder & Investment Platform
Location: Switzerland
We are seeking candidates with 2 - 4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or consulting, ideally with exposure to biotech, healthcare, or life sciences transactions.
Our client is a fast-growing Swiss venture builder specializing in early-stage biotech. The Analyst will be based in Switzerland and work directly with senior leadership on valuation, co-financing, and commercialization of biotech ventures, as well as on broader investment and M&A activities.
The role provides hands-on exposure to biotech start-ups and private markets investing, with responsibilities spanning transaction execution, fundraising, financial modeling, and strategic portfolio development. It is well suited to candidates combining strong analytical skills with an entrepreneurial mindset and an interest in biotech innovation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support financing and M&A initiatives across the biotech venture portfolio, including in-depth valuation, complex financial modeling, due diligence coordination, and execution of equity and strategic transactions.
* Prepare high-impact investment materials, financial models, fundraising decks, and transaction documentation to support capital raising, co-investment syndications, and strategic exits.
* Partner closely with senior leadership on deal structuring, investor targeting, and the development of co-financing strategies, ensuring alignment with long-term portfolio objectives.
* Conduct rigorous market, sector, and competitive analyses across multiple biotech sub-sectors to identify new venture opportunities and support portfolio scaling initiatives.
* Act as a financial and strategic partner to founders and management teams, providing insight on business planning, growth strategy, and capital allocation.
* Oversee portfolio monitoring processes, including performance tracking, KPI dashboards, and reporting packages for internal committees, investors, and external stakeholders.
* Actively engage with entrepreneurial networks, UHNWIs, family offices, and institutional investors, contributing to capital raising efforts and cultivating strategic partnerships.
Qualifications
* 2–4 years of professional experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or strategy consulting, with demonstrated deal exposure; biotech or life sciences experience strongly preferred but not essential.
* Proven expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction execution, with the ability to manage end-to-end deal processes.
* Strong intellectual curiosity and genuine interest in biotech innovation, with the capacity to rapidly acquire knowledge of scientific and clinical frameworks.
* Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with meticulous attention to financial and strategic detail.
* Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset, able to thrive in a high-growth, start-up style environment requiring versatility and initiative.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex investment ideas clearly and persuasively.
* Fluency in English required; proficiency in French or German is a strong advantage.
