Postdoctoral Researcher or Data Scientist
Join to apply for the Postdoctoral Researcher or Data Scientist role at Schweizer Paraplegiker-Stiftung
The cardiometabolic & respiratory research group aims to improve cardiometabolic and respiratory health determinants and support the development and implementation of cost-effective personalized interventions for reducing disease burden.
The project focuses on understanding the metabolic consequences of spinal cord injury (SCI) and their interactions with neurological recovery and functioning in newly injured individuals with SCI. It utilizes proteomics and large real-world data, offering significant potential for groundbreaking discoveries with high translational impact. In collaboration with D-HEST at ETH Zürich, we will investigate the role of medications administered during the acute and subacute phases of injury, as well as explore the neuroprotective role of female hormones (e.g., progesterone and estradiol) in early recovery after injury.
Your tasks
1. Review scientific literature
2. Synthesize and analyze quantitative data, and prepare scientific publications
3. Assist in various scientific and administrative activities
4. Present your work at international conferences and publish articles in peer-reviewed journals
What makes you stand out
