DEPARTMENT/ TEAM PURPOSE: Copper Markets Finance supports financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and strategic direction by covering Financial Operations, Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Revenue Operations, Procurement, and partnering with Human Resources to support Copper Markets (Switzerland) AG (CMCH). This structure ensures Swiss legal, tax, and regulatory adherence alongside robust financial reporting and planning.
Role Purpose As interim Finance Director for Copper Markets (Switzerland) AG, you will provide strategic leadership across Finance and People functions, ensuring robust financial governance and insightful decision support. You will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, HR matters, and act as a bridge between local operations and group-level teams.
Key Responsibilities Finance Leadership: Oversee Finance and supporting HR functions in CMCH.
Regulatory Adherence: Ensure tax, legal, and regulatory compliance for Finance and HR in CMCH.
BOD Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors with insights for decision-making.
Financial Reporting: Manage forecasting, revenue, debtors, and financial modelling to support strategic planning.
Account Management: Maintain CMCH accounts and prepare reporting-ready accounts.
Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls.
Audit Leadership: Lead financial audits with the appointed audit firm.
Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Business-Wide Partnership: Collaborate with Legal, Finance, HR, Marketing, IT, Operations, and Sales.
Group Collaboration: Work with the holding company and other group entities on finance tasks.
Market Awareness: Stay updated on market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Qualified Accountant.
Minimum 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 in a management role.
Strong understanding of tax, legal, and regulatory requirements for finance and HR functions.
Proven expertise in financial reporting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
Experience leading financial audits and maintaining internal control systems.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
Ability to develop and implement strategic plans; stay updated on market trends.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments within a group company.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
