Your tasks
The Project Management team is responsible for a successful execution of complex customer, innovation and product development projects in an international environment, within the given time and cost budget, ensuring a high customer satisfaction through excellent delivery performance, quality, and other services. In this position you will report to the Vice president R+D & Product Management and you will be part of the Department Management Team.
* Lead a Project Team of four Project Manager
* Responsible for complex international customer, innovation, and product development projects within defined timelines and budgets
* Drive project profitability through proactive steering, change management, and margin optimization
* Ensure high customer satisfaction through strong delivery performance and product quality
* Analyze market trends, technologies, and competitor activities to identify and develop future product opportunities
* Define product strategies, value propositions, portfolio roadmaps, and pricing approaches in alignment with business goals
* Monitor product performance using key business and operational KPIs
* Gather and prioritize product requirements and translate them into actionable development inputs in close collaboration with R&D
* Support product industrialization, including supply chain setup and production readiness
* Manage product launches and enable the organization through training and communication
* Develop and execute go-to-market plans and support sales with product expertise and marketing content
* Represent the product in customer and channel engagements
* Lead technology and product development for cable and cable assembly solutions in alignment with market needs
* Manage technical development projects from concept through feasibility to product release
Your profile
* Minimum 10 years of global leadership experience in project management and/or product development, including strong practical application of established project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
* Experience in industrial companies is required
* University degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Technology Management, or a related technical field. Additional qualification in Project Management (e.g., IPMA, PMI) is preferred
* Expert knowledge of project management principles (e.g., IPMA Level B or PMI PMP certification preferred)
* Proven experience in product lifecycle management
* Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders across cultures and functions
* Adaptive leadership style with strengths in coaching, mentoring, and team development
* Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial awareness and focus on market alignment, timelines, and budgets
* Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment across organizational boundaries
* Strong conflict resolution and stakeholder management skills
* Analytical, data-driven problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to risk mitigation
* High resilience and ability to navigate complex environments with a calm and structured approach
* Ability to foster accountability, collaboration, and a high-performance culture
* Professional working language skills in English and German (fluent minimum B2 level)
* Good IT proficiency (Microsoft Office / O365, PDM, ERP systems)
* Willingness to travel (up to 10%)
