Our client, a global leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients in both the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is seeking a Logistics Specialist based in Visp (Switzerland) for an initial 6-month contract position with possible extension.
Main Responsibilities:
Ensuring that the production facilities and infrastructure in Ibex are supplied with sufficient materials to ensure smooth production at all times
Assesses, audits, and propose revision of methods of operation, policies and procedures, forms, reports, material handling, alterations in equipment or office layout, simplification, computer systems, or other changes to increase production or improve standards.
Responsible for the provision and preparation of materials for production, internal goods receipt up to weighing
Supports and implements production planning.
Conducts material openings and creates sampling instructions
Coordinates goods receipt, material release and special releases
Responsible for internal product storage and cold chain, as well as shipping planning, shipping organization
Supports the preparation of shipping agreements
Responsible for the creation of SOPs in his area of responsibility
Presents his area of responsibility in customer audits and authority inspections
Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
Completed commercial, logistics, or CPT vocational training
1-3 years of work experience and excellent understanding and knowledge in the field of logistics and good SAP knowledge as well as a strong IT affinity .
Training in logistics, commercial or IT fields.
Impeccable, level-appropriate communication with internal interfaces (supply chain, production, quality and engineering).
Solution-oriented approach, excellent planning and organizational skills within complex projects.
Excellent team and social skills.
Fluency in English and German.
