Overview
The main tax department is responsible for taxation in the canton of Glarus and is in charge of a significant portion of the revenues of the canton and municipalities. The core tasks include tax assessment and tax collection.
Responsibilities
* Ensure accurate tax assessments for individuals in the canton.
* Handle legal remedy procedures and related legal proceedings.
* Provide information to customers and authorities.
* Collaborate with federal tax authorities on various projects.
* Participate in projects and take on special tasks.
Qualifications
* Commercial training with practical experience, ideally in tax law.
* Willingness for part‑time further education in tax law.
* Strong IT skills and a flair for numbers.
* Fluency in oral and written expression.
* Independent and structured way of working.
* Resilient, flexible, and team‑oriented personality.
