As a Senior Account Executive in our Direct Sales Team in DACH Territory, you will have a critical role in expanding our reach in the Swiss market.

Your tasks will include finding new business opportunities and driving sales, as well as utilizing the assistance of the marketing and solutions consulting team to generate new leads. Your ability to influence end-users and C-level stakeholders will be essential to achieving your goal of boosting our presence and growth in the Swiss region.

As sales is inherently a social role, it is essential that the Senior Account Executive is able to network and build relationships with prospects in any environment. The ideal candidate should therefore be a confident, outgoing and extroverted individual who is comfortable interacting with others.

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* 8+ years of experience of sales experience within the software industry.
* Ability to build relationships with Global 1000 senior line-of-business and IT executives, as well as operational managers
* Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
* Proven 'hunter' (new business) selling skills
* Able to function independently, as well as collaboratively with Neptune team members

Preferred Qualifications

* 9+ years of experience in partner management, with a focus on enterprise software or digital transformation solutions.
* Experience with, and effective execution of, a complex, solution-based enterprise sales process
* Familiarity with software technologies, trends, and licensing models.
* Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Channel, Marketing, Product, Engineering).
* Strong analytical skills with experience assessing sales data and market trends to inform business decisions.
* Knowledge of the SAP ecosystem
* Drive customer prospecting and lead generation across key segments to build a strong and qualified sales pipeline.
* Collaborate with the Marketing team to plan and execute demand generation campaigns via marketing automation tools.
* Execute cold outreach strategies through personalized email and phone communications to engage potential customers.
* ️ Attend, organize, and sponsor relevant local and regional events (e.g., ASUG, Special Interest Groups, Neptune-hosted events, trade shows) to generate leads and boost brand visibility.
* Nurture leads through regular, high-touch engagement—via email, phone, and in-person meetings—to build lasting relationships.
* Deliver impactful product demos, independently and in collaboration with the Solutions Consulting team, to showcase business value.
* Move opportunities through the sales cycle with accuracy and momentum, bringing deals to successful closure.
* Maintain continuous collaboration with Marketing to refine messaging, campaigns, and outreach strategy based on market feedback.
