Climate Risk Manager
Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Climatologist or Environmental Scientist with strong technical skills in climate modeling, data analysis and risk assessment. As a Climate Risk Manager, you will work closely with our team to identify, assess and mitigate physical climate-related risks for our corporate clients.
Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement comprehensive climate risk management strategies that integrate scientific knowledge, market insights and stakeholder perspectives. You will also provide technical guidance on climate-related issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and manage complex climate risk assessments, scenario planning and stress testing for corporate clients;
2. Provide expert advice on climate-related policy, regulatory frameworks and industry trends;
3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and deliver client-focused training programs;
4. Stay up-to-date with emerging climate-related research, technologies and innovations;
Requirements:
* PhD in Climate Science, Hydrology, Meteorology or a related field;
* Expert knowledge of climate science, climate risks, natural catastrophe modeling and financial impact quantification;
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in advanced statistical methods and programming languages;
* Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills;
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
* Willingness to travel extensively for client meetings and project delivery.
