Your role and responsibilities
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Global Digital Solution Engineering Manager - Simulation to join our
Sustainability and Process Performance Management team. In this role, you will support digital sales across the globe,
improve ABB's market penetration, and contribute to achieving ambitious growth targets.
Main Responsibilities
* Drive sales support for Simulation solutions, ensuring volume, mix, and profitability targets are met.
* Collaborate with Local Divisions' sales teams to guide the sales process and achieve goals efficiently.
* Actively engage with local sales teams to strengthen their understanding of Simulation solutions and customer value.
* Follow up on customer opportunities, RFPs, and RFIs to align offers with customer requirements and expectations.
* Track and manage the sales pipeline for both current and future opportunities.
* Partner with Simulation Product Management to identify new market needs and recommend product improvements.
* Establish and maintain strong customer relationships to enhance satisfaction and identify new business opportunities.
* Drive collaboration between teams to ensure knowledge sharing and cross-regional success.
Qualifications for the role
* Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a relevant technical field.
* At least 10 years of experience in technical sales and/or pre-sales support for digital solutions, particularly Simulation.
* Previous experience in engineering roles within the digital domain is a plus.
* Industry knowledge in Upstream, Midstream, Refining, Chemicals, Power Generation, Water, or Renewables is highly valued.
* Experience or exposure to Sustainability developments such as Green/Blue Hydrogen, Green Ammonia, Carbon Capture and Sustainable fuels.
* Strong financial understanding, including pricing strategies, margin control, and risk assessment.
* Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse, multicultural teams.
* Proven experience in opportunity tracking and managing a dynamic sales pipeline.
