Are you passionate about ensuring software quality in hardware-integrated environments? Our client, a leading technology company with a global culture, is seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join their dynamic team in the region of Schaffhausen.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with developers, hardware engineers, and project managers to understand requirements and report findings.
* Conduct functional and non-functional testing for software interacting with hardware components
* Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts tailored to embedded systems
* Perform manual and automated testing to identify defects and validate fixes
* Analyze logs and technical data to troubleshoot integration issues
* Participate in regression, performance, and compatibility testing
* Contribute to automation frameworks and scripts for repetitive testing scenarios
* Document test results and manage defect tracking through tools like JIRA or Bugzilla
Your Profile
* Minimum 2 years of experience in software testing, ideally with embedded or hardware-specific systems
* Strong understanding of testing methodologies and hardware-software integration
* Familiarity with defect tracking tools and automation platforms (e.g., Selenium, Appium)
* Programming experience in Python, Java, C++, or similar languages
* Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner
* ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent certification is a plus
* You are able to communicate fluently in English and have minimum C1 level of German (written as well as spoken)
