TITLE Senior Legal Counsel START DATE March 202 6 DURATION 12 months, with the possibility of extension UTILIZATION 100% LOCATION(S) Zug, Switzerland (Hybrid) AREA Legal THE ROLE We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal support to the international business operations of a global pharmaceutical company based in Switzerland. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in cross-border commercial matters, a solid understanding of regulated healthcare markets, and the ability to work closely with senior stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external counsel. This role calls for a proactive, business-oriented legal professional capable of navigating complex international frameworks and supporting strategic growth initiatives. Fluency in English and German is essential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Act as a strategic legal advisor to senior commercial and business leaders, providing pragmatic, risk-based counsel to support international growth, market access, and distribution strategies within the pharmaceutical sector. Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements, including distribution, commercialization, and related arrangements across multiple international markets. Support entry into new markets and evolving go-to-market models, advising on legal, regulatory, compliance, and risk considerations associated with indirect and direct sales structures. Collaborate cross-functionally with global legal, compliance, privacy, regulatory, finance, tax, HR, and business development teams to deliver integrated legal solutions and scalable processes. Manage external counsel efficiently, contribute to the development and implementation of global policies and training initiatives, and support compliance frameworks applicable to international pharmaceutical operations. YOUR PROFILE Legal Counsel with at least 10 years of experience; proven experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and/or an international law firm is essential for this role. Demonstrated ability to navigate corporate and commercial law issues. Ability to develop strategies within the business and provide clear and concise advice. Fluent in English and German, both written and verbal; proficiency in an additional language is an advantage. Familiarity with data protection laws in Europe.
