Position Summary
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and reporting. This role ensures timely and accurate financial results while supporting process improvements, internal controls, and compliance across a multi-entity environment. The Accounting Manager partners closely with the Controller, CFO, and cross-functional teams to strengthen the company’s financial infrastructure and support continued growth.
Responsibilities
* Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and reconciliations.
* Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate journal entries, accruals, and account balances.
* Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
* Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in line with GAAP.
* Partner with HR, payroll, and operations to ensure accuracy and compliance across functions.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis by providing accurate reporting and insights.
* Assist with external audits and tax filings by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
* Contribute to process improvements and system implementations to drive efficiency.
* Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering growth and professional development.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
* 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibility.
* Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience in multi-entity environments.
* Experience in fitness, franchise, retail, or multi-location operations is a plus.
* Proficiency in accounting systems and payroll platforms
* Netsuite experience is necessary
* Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
