Job summary
Atrial fibrillation affects over 33 million individuals worldwide and is the most common form of serious arrhythmia. As part of a fast-growing cardiac ablation business segment and following the recent acquisition of the AFFERA Mapping and Ablation System, we are seeking a talented and motivated Senior AFFERA Mapping and Therapy Specialist to join our team and drive business growth. This role is critical in providing expert clinical and technical support and training to physicians and EP Lab Staff on the optimal use of the AFFERA Mapping and Ablation System. This position is field-based, requiring extensive travel (80-100%). It covers all of Switzerland and, in specific situations, Western Europe. Your home address will serve as your primary workplace (home office), with occasional attendance at the Medtronic office for meetings.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Clinical and Technical Expertise: Provide proficient assistance on the AFFERA System and other related products, including troubleshooting and workflow development.
* Training and Education: Deliver in-service training, support training center development, and mentor new colleagues.
* Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain professional relationships, ensuring responsiveness and optimizing customer experiences.
* Case and Territory Planning: Prioritize and maximize case coverage, participate in territory reviews.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with service engineers, technical teams, and marketing to ensure system efficiency and contribute to product development.
* Regulatory and Scientific Compliance: Stay updated on product info, literature, and ensure compliance with all requirements.
* Professional Representation: Participate in congresses and workshops regionally and internationally to represent Medtronic and share best practices.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in electrical or medical engineering or related field.
* At least 3 years of clinical electrophysiology (EP) experience.
* Minimum of 2 years supporting EP mapping procedures independently.
* Fluency in German and English; French is a plus.
* Independent work ethic with a strong sense of responsibility.
* Valid driver’s license.
* Ability to work effectively in EP labs and meet vendor credentialing requirements.
