Summary
Moffat County School District is seeking a 1.0 FTE Board Certified Behavior Analyst to provide specialized expertise to define and characterize behaviors, select and evaluate interventions and strategies, display and interpret behavioral data, and monitor behavior changes. This is a district-wide position requiring travel between all schools.

Salary
$63,833 to $116,845 per year working a 169-day school year schedule. Placement depends on relevant experience on the Certified Salary Schedule on the Double Masters step.

Responsibilities
The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst will provide specialized expertise to define and characterize behaviors, measure and assess behaviors, select and evaluate interventions and strategies, display and interpret behavioral data and monitor behavior changes.

Essential Functions and Primary Responsibilities

Identify target behaviors and develop functionally based interventions including antecedent strategies, replacement behaviors, reinforcement systems, and problem behavior consequence strategies.

Conduct functional behavioral assessments and support writing behavior intervention plans.

Communicate with school teams, administrators, and families when appropriate.

Create and facilitate trainings for the purpose of professional learning.

Establish and maintain rapport with students, school staff and families.

Assist in the creation of and review initial, annual and eligibility IEP’s, BIP, and progress reports.

Provide feedback on goals, inclusion, measurement criteria, fade plans and interventions/teaching strategies.

Cooperatively participate with building teams in designing programming and services for students with a variety of disabilities and needs.

Manage a robust and complex schedule to support students and school teams. Develop visual strategies to assist students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other behavioral challenges.

Visually structure the classroom environment for students to be successful. Provide curriculum ideas and develop educational programs for students and provide feedback to staff in an individualized manner regarding the implementation of the programming.

Position will work with teaching staff to support student needs and may provide direct support with students as needed.

Meet regularly with supervisor and Child Study Team to problem solve and collaborate. Attendance and participation on district professional development days.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Currently hold a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certificate (or in process). Currently hold a CDE teacher or SSP license as a Special Education Generalist Teacher, Speech Language Pathologist, Psychologist, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist.

Additional Information
Salary/pay rate is determined based on position classification and employee’s qualifications and experience relevant to the job description requirements. Full pay range may be found on the appropriate salary schedule.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and regulations. Write reports, business correspondence, procedural manuals. Present information and respond to questions from parents, community members, commissions, colleagues, and Board of Education.

Mathematical Skills: Calculate figures, apply algebra, geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions. Interpret technical instructions. Analyze and use data to supervise instruction and improvement.

Technology Skills: Proficient use of technology, including word processing, spreadsheets, internet, email, data analysis.

Other Skills and Abilities: Apply current research and theory. Maintain effective relationships. Communicate clearly. Coordinate, instruct, evaluate, negotiate. Perform duties with awareness of district requirements. Discipline students consistent with procedures. Maintain confidentiality.

Physical Demands: Sit, talk, stand, walk, use hands, lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment: Quiet to loud depending on activity.
