Postdoctoral Researcher in Bioprocess Modelling and Optimization
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to our aspirations to advance in the field of model-based development and optimization. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will serve as a key enabler for our innovation strategy, collaborating closely with experts within the biologics community.
**Responsibilities**
• Develop mathematical models to characterize production systems and their dynamics, including uncertainty modeling.
• Design experiments for model-based learning to support model development activities.
• Perform model verification and validation, and translate outcomes into practical information for process optimization and characterization.
• Identify and influence model-based and data-driven initiatives.
• Contribute as a subject matter expert to establish in-silico models aligned with our data & digital strategy.
• Proactively identify challenges, propose solutions, and communicate key issues to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with external vendors to implement innovative model-based solutions.
**Requirements**
• PhD in bio-chemical engineering, bioprocess technology, applied data science, or related fields, with a strong background in process modelling and optimization.
• Programming skills in Python, R, and/or MATLAB, with knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms.
• Knowledge of USP/DSP processes, with interest and ability to work on either field.
• Strong collaborative skills and a can-do attitude.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Adaptability to a fast-changing environment.
• Proficiency in English, both oral and written.
