Key Account Manager – Green Coffee (f/m/d)
Position based in Zug, Neumann Kaffee Gruppe (NKG) – a globally active green coffee service group with more than 3,300 employees in 28 countries.
Responsibilities
* Act as the primary interface between origin teams, international key customers, and internal functions.
* Manage and develop long‑term relationships with strategically important global customers.
* Translate customer requirements into clear internal briefs and coordinate execution across:
o Trading and Sourcing – connecting vertically integrated supply chains between NKG exporters and clients.
o Logistics and Supply Chain / Business Execution.
o Quality, Food Safety, Sustainability, and Compliance.
o Risk Management and Finance.
* Identify business opportunities for the origin companies/profit centers.
* Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively resolve issues.
* Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
* Prepare and conduct customer meetings, presentations, and contract negotiations.
* Coordinate volumes, qualities, origins, timelines, and specifications from origin to customer, ensuring reliable delivery, transparency, and consistency throughout the entire order lifecycle.
* Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies and drive solutions with stakeholders.
* Support contract execution, pricing logic, and change management throughout the season.
* Prepare customer‑related analyses, performance reviews, and decision documents for management.
* Continuously improve cross‑functional collaboration and process efficiency.
Qualifications
* 5‑7 years of experience in key account management, sales, trading, or supply chain roles within the coffee or agricultural commodities sector.
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of the green coffee value chain, ideally including origin exposure.
* Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments across functions and geographies.
* High customer orientation with a structured, solution‑driven working style.
* Strong communication and coordination skills, able to align diverse interests.
* Cooperative, sociable, convincing, driving & adaptable character.
* Analytical mindset and confidence in working with volumes, contracts, and operational data.
* Ability to build trust with executive‑level stakeholders.
* Experience working in international or cross‑functional teams.
* Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, German) are an advantage.
* Willingness to travel internationally as required.
