The Actuarial Pricing team of Everest Reinsurance Company, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd., is looking for a Senior Reinsurance Actuary to join our Zurich office.In this role, you will perform pricing analysis for a broad spectrum of P&C and Specialty reinsurance, with a primary focus on Financial Risks (Credit, Surety, Political). You will be involved in developing and pricing innovative risk transfer solutions alongside clients and brokers. Additionally, you will collaborate with underwriters to analyze portfolio profitability and support growth initiatives. You will work closely with the actuarial teams in the home office and other branches to develop pricing tools that enhance our pricing capabilities.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Lead pricing for Financial Risks and Credit BookPrice reinsurance treaties and collaborate with underwriting to support our Financial Risks / Credit book, as well as provide pricing support to Zurich and global teams across Casualty, Surety, and Property linesCoordinate with underwriting and management to support our global portfolioRecommend updates or new models for financial lines / credit pricingMentor and develop junior and student actuariesParticipate in client visits, broker meetings, and marketing eventsCreate presentations and reports for management, board, and strategic purposesConduct transactional pricing analyses, portfolio studies, profitability reviews, and ad-hoc modelingEnsure consistency and synergies across offices through interconnected actuarial functions (Reserving, ERM, Capital & CAT Modeling, Insurance Actuarial)Qualifications, Education & Experience:Qualified or nearly-qualified Actuary from a recognized actuarial body8+ years of industry experienceProven experience in Financial Lines / Credit actuarial pricing; reinsurance experience is a plusKnowledge of reserving practices, CAT modeling, portfolio management, and finance/accountingUnderstanding of IFRS, Solvency II, and capital management is advantageousStrong business acumen, team orientation, entrepreneurial spirit, and excellent communication skillsAbility to work in dynamic, remote, and agile environmentsProgramming skills in Python, R, SQL are a plusProficiency in English; knowledge of additional European languages is advantageousTeam player with a willingness to work in cross-cultural teamsThe role holder must embody Everest's Core Values: Agility, Be a champion of company success, Collaboration, and Development.Our culture emphasizes providing protection worldwide, fostering an inclusive environment driven by shared values and behaviors such as Talent, Risk-taking, Execution, Efficiency, Humility, Leadership, Collaboration, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.All colleagues are expected to uphold these values and demonstrate them in their daily interactions and responsibilities.
