Reporting To Field Service Engineer
Your Role and Responsibilities Ihre Rolle als Service Engineer umfasst die Durchführung von Servicearbeiten an Schienenfahrzeugen und Energiespeichersystemen mit geringer bis mittlerer Komplexität gemäß Arbeitsanweisungen und ABB‑Standardprozessen, Qualitäts- und Sicherheitsrichtlinien. Sie arbeiten eng mit Kunden und internen ABB‑Einheiten zusammen, fungieren als technischer Ansprechpartner und sorgen für hohe Kundenzufriedenheit.
Reporting to the Head of Field Service, you will be responsible for routine maintenance and on‑site or remote technical support. The position involves approximately 50 days of domestic and 30 days of international travel, providing hands‑on assistance at customer sites.

Responsibilities Perform installation, commissioning and maintenance tasks, identify technical problems through remote or on‑site activity across various service categories.
Consult and advise customers on optimal service solutions, maintain strong relationships and appreciate their needs.
Coordinate and execute specialist projects through planning, milestone meeting and regular reviews.
Troubleshoot simple equipment failures and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence; identify opportunities to develop new service applications, equipment and methods.
Qualifications Four years of experience in electrical work, testing, maintenance or service; experience as test or commissioning engineer with power electronics or electric vehicles.
Knowledge and hands‑on experience in servicing, maintaining, commissioning and repairing power electronic products.
Ability to travel worldwide.
Proven leadership skills, collaborative, solution‑focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
Technician or engineer bachelor's degree in electrotechnics.
Required language skills: fluent German, French and English.
