Responsibilities
Lead and manage product development projects from concept through to production release
Design and develop mechanical components, including concept design, detailed drawings, prototyping, and manufacturing processes
Perform technical calculations, analyze test results, and validate product performance for both standard and customized solutions
Evaluate and optimize environmental and sustainability aspects across the entire product lifecycle
Continuously improve products from both a technical and logistical perspective, considering manufacturing and quality processes
Prepare and maintain all relevant technical project documentation
Interface with international suppliers for the definition and sourcing of technical components
Provide technical support to the sales team
Contribute to the evaluation of production investment feasibility
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze non-conformities and support product certification processes
Present project results, key decisions, and updates to Management and Steering Committees
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (e.g., Mechatronics, Robotics)
Proven experience in mechanical design and product development (experience with small gearheads is a strong advantage)
Solid understanding of project management principles
Proficiency in Siemens NX (3D CAD) and Teamcenter (PLM)
Structured and methodical approach with a strong results orientation
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills
Well-developed organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, combined with creativity
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Fluent in Italian and English (mandatory)
German and/or French are considered a plus
Open term contract in a primary company based in Ticino
