Senior Trader / Head of Sector
specialized in commodities trading —with a well-established network of supply and demand contacts.

Position
Who are you?
The ideal candidate will have the ability to build a new business line autonomously, taking full P&L accountability, and will report directly to the COO overseeing both trading and operations.
This opportunity is intended for senior professionals with a personal book of business. Applications without a proven portfolio will not be evaluated.
Tasks and responsibilities
:
* Develop product-specific sourcing and sales strategies
* Originate trade flows and maintain strong relationships with global producers
* Set up marketing operations and develop relationships with end buyers and other traders
* Collaborate closely with logistics, operations, and finance teams to ensure efficient contract execution
* Provide market intelligence related to specific commodities
* Manage risk and coordinate product-specific hedging strategies with the hedging desk
* Represent the Company at industry forums and conferences
* Mentor and support junior staff development
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years of physical commodity trading experience, preferably with prime trading houses
* Broad network of supplier and customer relationships
* Proven track record of successful trades; transferable book of business is a plus
* Strong business development and leadership skills with the ability to build a new business from scratch
* In-depth knowledge of relevant global and regional supply chains and operational business understanding
* Ability to assess and manage risk around trading positions and market events
* Entrepreneurial mindset, excellent negotiation skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Fluent professional English; other European languages are a plus
