We are seeking an ambitious individual to join our Carbon Desk in Nyon, Switzerland. As a low carbon commodity company, we pursue a low carbon future through our Brokerage, Matched Principal, Market Data and Advisory services in sustainable commodities and renewable energy.
The ideal candidate will grow our presence and develop new business relationships with clients within voluntary carbon markets in Switzerland. Our team is looking for a confident, adaptable applicant who builds relationships easily and interacts well under pressure.
This role involves prospecting for corporate customers/clients/public institutions and business development. The chosen applicant will also consult clients on their sustainability challenges, understanding their needs and helping them develop bespoke solutions to offset their emissions and address climate change goals.
Key responsibilities include:
* Prospecting for corporate customers/clients/public institutions and business development (cold calling, qualifying and building the pipeline of deal)
* Consulting clients on their sustainability challenges, understanding their needs and helping them develop bespoke solutions to offset their emissions and to address climate change goals
* Maintaining relationships with existing customers and identifying further sale opportunities
* Writing advisory proposals and taking part in deal negotiations and completion
* Representing us at market events and engaging with relevant marketing activities
This position requires strong technology skills – MS Office, Bloomberg, programming – as well as proven analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
