Overview
An exciting opportunity to work as a Robotics & Control Engineer to lead a team of GNC engineers and contribute to GNC design and development activities. You will work with cross-functional teams to research and develop guidance and navigation control systems and deploy them on final UAV products.
Responsibilities
* Define the control laws and algorithm architecture for onboard automation systems, including Flight Controls and Navigation Systems.
* Identify possible failure modes and define robust contingency control laws to maintain safe flight.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system engineers and mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to plan, design, develop, and integrate GNC solutions into UAVs.
* Define and run computer simulations for the platforms (e.g., MATLAB & Simulink).
* Manage work packages within a defined scope and actively drive the project forward to achieve deliverables on time and within budget.
* Ensure the integration of GNC algorithms with the embedded system and execute validation testing.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in GNC Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Software Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
* 3+ years of industry or postgraduate experience in GNC Engineering.
* Strong applied mathematics foundations; ability to derive algorithms related to guidance, navigation, and control (GNC).
* Experience in linear and non-linear feedback control system design.
* Experience with Kalman filtering and sensor fusion algorithms.
* Experience with simulation development.
* Experience in C development for embedded systems.
* Experience with version control systems like Git, enabling effective collaboration and code management.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, crucial for algorithm development and data analysis.
* Good communication skills for effective collaboration.
* Fluent English speaker.
