What You'll Be Doing:
You will operate at the intersection of strategy, projects, and daily operations, ensuring a resilient and cost-effective supply chain:
Strategic Sourcing & Automation Projects
* Lead the evolution of the purchasing processes by participating in the development and management of new automation solutions.
* Drive sub-projects—from evaluation and planning to execution—across various purchasing initiatives.
* Actively contribute to shaping the sourcing strategy for your assigned product categories.
Operational Procurement & Material Management
Execute all operational purchasing for the EU sites, covering mechanical components, finished goods, consumables, and auxiliary materials.
* Conduct and manage tender processes and rigorously evaluate incoming bids.
* Maintain and ensure the accuracy of all procurement, inventory, and material master data within SAP.
* Process returns and manage resolution with suppliers.
Supplier Management & Portfolio Health
* Manage the full supplier lifecycle: conduct initial evaluations, ongoing monitoring, and portfolio management.
* Mitigate supply risks by securing and managing multi-sourcing strategies.
* Serve as the primary contact point for suppliers across different internal processes, ensuring a stable supply base and high availability.
What You'll Bring:
The ideal candidate blends strong technical and system expertise with excellent strategic communication skills:
* Education: A completed basic technical qualification combined with a further degree in Purchasing (University of Applied Sciences/Higher Technical College level).
* Experience: Several years of professional experience specifically in project management within an industrial setting.
* Technical Skills: Expert use of the SAP MM module is required; experience with SAP Ariba - Guided Buying is highly desirable.
* Aptitudes: An analytical, communicative, and networked thinker with strong coordination abilities and a high affinity for IT solutions.
