We're supporting a key partner in the infrastructure and energy technology space with the search for an experienced (Senior) Application Specialist. This individual will play a vital role in maintaining and improving critical internal applications used for infrastructure planning and optimisation.
Role Overview:You’ll be responsible for the operational stability, performance, and continuous improvement of applications critical to the organisation’s mission. Responsibilities include:
* Acting as the main point of contact between technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors
* Defining, planning, and testing updates and new releases
* Ensuring the applications meet performance, security, and SLA requirements
* Driving automation and process optimisation using GitHub and DevOps tools
* Participating in a rotating 24/7 on-call service
Candidate Profile: Someone who combines technical depth with strong communication and problem-solving skills. You should be comfortable working in complex environments and enjoy problem solving.
Key Requirements:
* Solid background in application management or software development with focus on operations
* Experience working within DevOps environments and secure deployment pipelines
* Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Java, or C#)
* Knowledge of system architecture, APIs, and application monitoring tools (ELK Stack preferred)
* Familiarity with ITIL processes and configuration/interface management (certification advantageous)
* Strong stakeholder engagement and user support capability
* Fluent in German and English
Location & Contract:
* 50% on-site officepresence (Aargau) & 50% Home Office
* Permanent position with flexible workload (80–100%)
* 30 Days Holiday +Financial support & time off for internal or external training courses
