We are seeking a forward thinking Commercial Operations Director, to lead our company's commercial operations team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, with a strong background in board and leadership communication, as well as experience as a Chief Operating Officer (COO). This role will be responsible for driving the company's commercial strategy, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Purpose of the Role:
1. Drive the successful commercialization of new vaccinein key global travel markets.
2. Lead commercial operations across EUCAN’s Central & South-Eastern Europe (CSEE), and Wave 3 launch markets (Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic, Israel).
3. Collaborate with the Center of Excellence (CoE) on global forecasting and strategic assumptions.
4. Enhance commercial capabilities across regions and local operating companies (LOCs).
Responsibilities:
5. Develop and implement strategic initiatives, to drive commercial success and growth.
6. Collaborate with the executive team, to align commercial operations with the overall business strategy.
7. Lead and mentor a team of commercial professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
8. Oversee sales, marketing, and business development functions to optimize market opportunities and revenue streams.
9. Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness through process improvement, and scalable solutions.
10. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including external partners and customers.
Qualifications:
11. Proven experience in a board or leadership role, with a deep understanding of driving commercial success.
12. Previous experience as a Chief Operating Officer (COO), or holding a similar senior leadership position.
13. Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
14. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
15. A track record of successfully leading and motivating teams to achieve business goals.
16. Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Day-to-day:
17. Communicating regularly with the executive team to align commercial operations with the company's strategic objectives.
18. Analyzing market trends and identifying new business opportunities.
19. Providing guidance and support to the sales, marketing, and business development teams to ensure alignment with commercial strategy.
20. Reviewing and optimizing operational processes to drive efficiency and productivity.
21. Engaging with external stakeholders and partners to build and maintain strong relationships.
