About WISeSat :
WISeSat AG is building a cutting-edge Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellation to deliver secure messaging across Switzerland and Europe. Leveraging proprietary post-quantum encryption, we provide trusted communications for private clients and institutional partners.
The Role :
We're seeking an experienced RF Engineer to design, build, and optimize the RF links that power our constellation—covering
satellite-to-ground, satellite-to-user, and inter-satellite
connections. You'll report to the Project Manager and work across the full lifecycle, from architecture and design through integration, validation, launch support, and operations.
What You'll Do :
 * Own RF system design for space and ground segments to ensure reliable, high-performance links in LEO.
 * Perform
 link budgets
, interference analyses, and end-to-end performance simulations; optimize for bandwidth, latency, and availability targets.
 * Define and validate payload RF requirements; contribute to hardware selection and architecture (antennas, LNAs/HPAs, filters, converters, transceivers).
 * Manage and technically steer selected industrial partners and suppliers; track deliverables and quality.
 * Ensure compliance with
 international spectrum regulations
 and support frequency coordination activities.
 * Collaborate closely with Telecom, Systems, and Software teams to align RF designs with mission objectives and constraints.
 * Document designs, test plans, and results; contribute to design reviews and operational readiness.
What You Bring :
 * Master's degree
 in RF, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering.
 * 3–5 years
 of hands-on experience in RF design and test for satellites or comparable wireless systems.
 * Strong grasp of LEO-specific RF challenges.
 * Familiarity with
 spectrum regulation and frequency coordination
 for satellite communications.
 * System-level thinking: telecom architecture for constellations (e.g., band selection such as S-/L-band, payload configurations, and inter-satellite link concepts—optical or RF).
 * Ability to lead simulations and modeling of signal propagation, interference, and system performance.
 * Clear communication skills, collaborative mindset, and meticulous attention to detail; comfortable working with cross-functional teams and external partners.
 * Working proficiency in
 English
 ;
 French
 is a plus.
Why WISeSat :
Join a small, high-impact team where your decisions matter. You'll follow our next-generation satellites from design through launch and operations—challenging, rewarding, and genuinely innovative.
