Head Warehouse & Logistics (Pharma) – 6814 ASH
Our client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, both in the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is recruiting for a talented Head Warehouse & Logistics for a 6‑month contract to be based in Stein, Switzerland.
Main Responsibilities:
Leads and develops a team of Logistics Experts and Logistics operators, overseeing qualification, development, coaching, recruitment, and disciplinary actions.
Supervises the EWM IT project for the local Site as business project leader.
Represents the warehouse facility during regulatory inspections and customer audits, and actively participates in customer visits and presentations.
Oversees all warehousing and material management activities, including receiving, issuing, storage, handling (disposition, consumption, and process order bookings), allocation of direct materials to support manufacturing, and material scrapping.
Drives optimization of warehouse processes to ensure compliant storage, transportation, and distribution, with a focus on time and cost efficiency.
Ensures effective communication between management, stakeholders and Global Engineering/CAPEX team.
Represents Operations in investment projects, sharing experience from an operational and maintenance point of view with the design team.
Responsible for operative takeover of the warehouse (after operational qualification) and supports Swiss Medic readiness preparation.
Accountable for preparation of risk analysis (SHE, GMP) and all relevant procedures (SOPs), and ensuring training of staff.
Supports the Site Supply Chain Head in developing, prioritizing, and achieving goals with respect to the project and overall DPS (Drug Product Services) goals.
Manages daily logistics and production logistics operations of a small Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Site (Aseptic filling) with 8 Operators and 1 Expert.
Supports and improves logistics processes to get ready for SAP‑EWM implementation.
Orchestrates/Supports Customer and Health Authority Audits.
Optional: Business Lead for EWM implementation.
Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU citizenship required.
Experience within GxP / Pharma background in a manufacturing site.
Leadership skills for small teams (direct reports only).
SAP knowledge.
German (for Operators) and English (for Documents, QA Compliance, Projects) speaking.
Minimum 4 days/week onsite is needed.
