Within our Europe North Africa procurement teams at Accor GPO, we are looking for a Category Manager to oversee the Food & Beverage beverage portfolio. Based in Lausanne or Grimbergen, this role plays a key part in ensuring our hotels benefit from top-tier suppliers and conditions. Working closely with the ENA Beverage Category Manager and the Global Category Manager team, this position combines strategic vision, sourcing execution, and supplier performance management.
Offer range management
–Understanding of business & guest needs, as well as new trends (competitive watch)
–Translation of these needs into Category « offer » Strategies
–Definition of product / services assortment range to meet these needs
–Definition of product/service specifications
–Responsibility on revenue and profit for categories in scope
Procurement/Sourcing M anagement
–Development of procurement sourcing strategy to enable Category vision (which suppliers to include, prioritization of tenders, supplier dependency review etc.)
–Alignment with GCM to define Global Category Strategy
–Definition of best sourcing procurement process and frequency of price reviews
–Definition of the best logistic solution
–CSR supplier compliance (i.e decarbonization)
–Development of new supplier base / innovation
Source to contract
–Lead on execution of RFI/RFP/RFQ
–Assessment of suppliers' proposals (products & services, price, …)
–Shortlisting, Negotiation and decision on selected suppliers
–Closing & contracting with selected suppliers, implementation of contracts
–Supplier performance management & supplier relationship management
C oordination on Global categories and international contract roll-out
–Support & coordination with GCM for identification and deployment of best practices, synergies & massification potentials, highlighting local specificities
–Local implementation of international deals
Customer relationship building as country category expert
Qualifications
Our ideal profile would be:
1. At least 5 years of experience in procurement or category management
2. Master's degree or Business School graduate with specialization in purchasing
3. Solid expertise in procurement processes and category management, particularly in beverage distribution and image contracts
4. Strong analytical and organizational skills
5. Customer-focused and results-oriented mindset
6. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
7. Agility to work in a fast-changing, dynamic environment
8. Fluent in both English and French
