Position Summary:
The Product Manager plays a critical role in driving team alignment and fostering a collaborative, high-performing product culture while maintaining a strong focus on business outcomes. In addition to partnering with leadership to ensure alignment with company goals, roadmap execution, and strategic priorities, this role actively engages with customers to understand their needs, gather feedback, and translate insights into actionable user stories. The Product Manager ensures that customer input informs product decisions, helping to prioritize features and improve adoption. They serve as a bridge between internal teams and external users, creating clarity and consensus across stakeholders.
Position Responsibilities:
* Collaborate cross-functionally with design, marketing, and operations to align priorities and execution.
* Develop detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that guide engineering and design.
* Partner with engineering to scope features, manage trade-offs, and ensure technical feasibility.
* Lead Agile product development teams through sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and delivery.
* Own the product backlog, ensuring alignment with company goals and user needs.
* Drive continuous improvement in product development processes and team collaboration.
* Apply strong business acumen and strategic thinking to evaluate trade-offs, prioritize initiatives, and drive measurable results.
* Bring creative problem-solving to complex challenges, balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business goals.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in a tech startup or fast-paced environment.
* 1+ years of experience in the mortgage or financial services industry
* Experience in implementing AI practices and tools
* Strong experience developing product requirements and working directly with engineering teams.
* Hands-on experience and knowledge of the mortgage sector
* Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and experience leading Agile ceremonies.
* Proven ability to build consensus and foster collaboration amongst teams.
* Comfortable navigating ambiguity and bringing clarity through structured thinking and documentation.
* A proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a bias toward execution.
* Experience in marketing tech or fintech preferred.
* Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma,, Aha, and analytics platforms.
