The team plays a key role in supporting trading operations by:
Managing accounting for trading flows with third parties and intercompany entities
Ensuring accuracy and deadlines to maintain group account integrity
Responding quickly to business changes
Collaborating with Financial Reporting, Operations, Middle Office, and other functions
Maintaining confidentiality of trading financial data
Activities
As a Trading Accountant, reporting to the Accounting Manager, you'll work within a team of 19 professionals. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop skills in accounting for physical and derivative trading flows, working closely with cross-functional teams and gaining exposure to major energy sector changes.
Main Responsibilities
Accurately record and verify provisions and invoices for trading books
Monitor trading data collaboratively with Operators
Analyze monthly trading results with Middle Office and Trading Operations
Identify and correct discrepancies, report transparently
Calculate and interpret Time Value of Money (TVM)
Support external auditors with detailed insights and documentation
Adapt processes and controls to changing accounting or business needs
IT Development & Reporting
Modernize and simplify accounting tools and reports (VBA, Python, Power BI)
Support system enhancements and automation initiatives
Serve as a key contact for reporting and automation topics
Candidate Profile
Master's degree in Finance or Accounting
1–3 years of accounting experience
Familiarity with SAP, SAGE
Strong attention to detail, responsiveness, team-oriented
Ability to work under pressure in evolving environments
Proficiency in English and French
IT skills in Python and Power BI are a plus
