We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Director of Sales to lead and execute the sales strategy for Hotel d’Angleterre. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for rooms, groups, events, leisure and key account management. The Director of Sales will be a visible leader internally, a trusted partner to ownership and senior management, and a strong ambassador for the hotel in local and international markets.

Hotel d’Angleterre is a prestigious luxury hotel in Geneva, ideally located on the lakeside opposite the Jet d’Eau. It offers 45 elegant rooms and suites, including the recently renovated Beatrice Suite, and is renowned for highly personalised service, strong repeat and long-stay business, and an international clientele. The hotel features Le 17 Restaurant (formerly Windows), the iconic Leopard Bar, and private event spaces, positioning it strongly within Geneva’s corporate, leisure, diplomatic and boutique MICE markets. Key Responsibilities of the Director of Sales:
* Lead, coach and develop the on‑property sales and reservations team, setting clear objectives aligned with the hotel’s commercial strategy.
* Own and deliver the Rooms, Groups and Events budget, translating targets into actionable sales plans and measurable results.
* Drive commercial performance by monitoring results, analysing market trends and adapting strategies as required.
* Work closely with Revenue and Reservations teams to align rate strategy, distribution channels, promotions and demand periods.
* Build and maintain strong relationships across Corporate, MICE and Leisure segments, managing key accounts and identifying new opportunities.
* Represent the hotel in key local and international markets, including consortia, luxury affiliations and representation activity.
* Collaborate with Marketing and PR to ensure brand consistency, oversee digital content accuracy, and support targeted sales‑driven campaigns.
What are we looking for?
* Proven experience in a senior sales role within luxury hospitality, ideally in an international city hotel environment.
* Strong understanding of Geneva.
* Commercially strategic, with hands‑on execution capability.
* Confident leader with the ability to motivate, structure and develop teams.
* Excellent relationship‑builder with clients, partners and internal stakeholders.
* Comfortable working with revenue management, distribution systems and market intelligence tools.
* Fluent in English; French strongly preferred. Additional languages an advantage.
