We are seeking a Production Engineering Specialist to join our client's Product and Process Engineering team. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Production Engineering and play a key role in the ongoing optimization of production equipment, assembly methods, and processes. This position is a great opportunity to drive tangible improvements in manufacturing efficiency, cost, quality, and safety.
As a Production Engineering Specialist, you will be actively involved in the transformation of the production site and will have the chance to apply your change management skills in a dynamic environment.
General Information:
Start: 13.10.2025 or ASAP
Duration: Initial contract of 6 months with the possibility to extend it
Workplace: Schaffhausen
Workload: 100%
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Plan, implement, and develop manufacturing workflows, production processes, and resources to optimize the production and testing of assemblies and devices
Conceive, procure, and implement equipment, coordinating with both internal and external partners
Assume product responsibility for a specific product line, handling all production engineering tasks across various locations
Collaborate on the industrialization of new products, from the initial concept through to serial production
Qualifications:
A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a similar field. Relevant practical experience is also considered.
Several years of professional experience in industrial production, ideally within the specified areas of responsibility
Vocational training or further education in a relevant field is a plus
Ability to think conceptually and "out of the box"
Strong affinity for IT and data processing
A passion for optimization and change, with a strong can-do mentality
Fluent in German and proficient in English
