We are seeking an entrepreneurial and results-driven Head of Business Development to lead our global growth strategy and drive strategic partnerships with international IVD players. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, this high-impact leadership role is preferably based in Basel, Switzerland or the USA.
Your Role – Strategic. Global. Impactful.
* Own and drive the global business development strategy for major international partners
* Take full responsibility for sales quota achievement, forecasting, and revenue growth with global accounts
* Identify, develop, and close strategic opportunities that create value for customers and BÜHLMANN
* Build and maintain deep understanding of key stakeholders, market trends, and competitive dynamics
* Execute go-to-market, sales, and partnership plans to grow profitability and market share
* Lead contract negotiations, answer RFPs, and manage pipeline and opportunity lifecycle
* Form and guide cross-functional teams to support complex solution selling and seamless post-sale execution
* Act as the primary liaison for senior customer relationships (C-Level: CEO, CFO, COO, etc.)
* Measure success by revenue growth, win rate, profitability, and customer satisfaction (NPS)

* University degree in Business Administration or related field
* 3–5+ years of experience in the diagnostics industry with a focus on business development and strategic partnerships
* Proven track record in global sales leadership and key account management
* Experience selling to large international IVD players; strong understanding of industry dynamics
* Confident communicator with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills at senior level
* Familiarity with value-based and consultative selling methodologies
* Comfortable working in virtual teams across geographies and time zones
* Fluent in English and ideally additional languages
* Willingness to travel internationally (~3 days per week)
