Head of SAP Integration & Data Management
I am searching for a Head of SAP Integration & Data Management for my client, an IT services provider focused on enterprise SAP solutions across the DACH region.
This is a high-impact leadership role managing a team of 8–10 technical specialists within a larger SAP function. The ideal candidate is a player-coach – combining deep technical knowledge in SAP Integration & Data Management with the ability to lead, mentor, and drive innovation.
This role blends strategy, delivery, and client-facing influence across major enterprise projects and requires fluency in German and familiarity with IT services/outsourcing environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the SAP Integration & Data Management team (8–10) across daily operations, projects, and strategic initiatives.
* Drive hands-on implementation of SAP integration solutions (e.g., SAP Process Orchestration, SAP Integration Suite) and data management technologies (SAP MDG, MDM, SAP Data Services).
* Develop and deliver the SAP roadmap alongside other SAP function leads (Finance, Logistics, etc.).
* Provide cross-solution architecture consulting in S/4HANA and SAP BTP environments.
* Support sales and presales processes as a technical advisor and solutions expert.
* Promote innovation, knowledge-sharing, and employee development.
* Represent the company in SAP community forums, expert publications, and industry events.
Must-Have Experience
* Strong hands-on background in SAP Integration (e.g., Process Orchestration, Integration Suite) and Data Management (SAP MDG, MDM, Data Services).
* Proven leadership experience with teams of 5+ in a technical SAP setting.
* Previous exposure to an IT services or consulting environment.
* Fluent in German (native or fluent), with good knowledge of English.
* Able to work remotely with 1x weekly team meet-ups in Swiss office locations.
