Overview
Business Development Representative (BDR) - German Speaker at Open Systems. The role focuses on generating new business opportunities in the German mid-market segment (500 to 25,000 users) through targeted outreach, qualification, and discovery. You will position Open Systems’ solutions (SASE, SSE, SD-WAN, Global Connectivity) as the trusted choice against key competitors and contribute to a strong sales pipeline in a high-growth environment.
Your Mission
As a BDR, you will be the driving force behind creating opportunities and engaging prospects to spark meaningful conversations that feed the sales cycle.
Your Responsibilities
* Generate a targeted number of accepted opportunities by assessing client needs and handing opportunities to the appropriate Sales team member in a timely manner.
* Research and build prospect accounts; identify new opportunities through outbound efforts (emails, cold calls, account-based campaigns, content and vertical campaigns, social media).
* Cultivate leads by assessing opportunities, communicating value propositions, and following up promptly.
* Build and maintain relationships with key executives and decision-makers.
* Generate and conduct due diligence on inbound leads.
* Maintain open communication with the sales team to discuss territory information, account details, qualify and educate the target, and gather feedback on activity.
* Track and maintain prospects; update contact information in Salesforce.com and ensure accurate data entry of own activities after handing off opportunities.
* Report on territory and lead activity to the manager.
* Assimilate product and market knowledge; effectively communicate Open Systems’ benefits and feature set to prospects by phone.
* Collaborate with marketing to develop programs that generate the best leads.
* Demonstrate thought leadership with customers and stay apprised of industry trends by contributing to social media sites (e.g., Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook).
Your Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree
* Fluent in German and English
* At least 3 years of inside sales experience, preferably in technology sales
* Strong prospecting skills including cold calling, email, social media
* Driven to succeed; able to work in a fast-paced environment
* Passion for building new business
* Excellent verbal and written communication; a clear, concise storyteller
* Proficient in time management, prioritization, and initiative
* Prior experience in Salesforce
