We are looking for a Smart Hands & Data Centre Engineer based in Vevey or nearby who can provide on-site support on an adhoc basis whenever tickets are raised. The role requires flexibility,
technical know-how, and the ability to act as a remote team's physical presence in the data
centre.
Key Responsibilities:
● Provide on-site "smart hands" support for remote technical teams.
● Rack/stack servers, storage, and networking devices; perform cabling and patching.
● Assist with hardware replacements, part swaps, and basic troubleshooting.
● Escort third-party vendors and manage site access when required.
● Document activities and update ticket status promptly.
Requirements:
● Prior experience in IT support, data centre operations, or field engineering.
● Familiarity with server, storage, and networking hardware.
● Knowledge of structured cabling (fiber/copper).
● Ability to follow remote technical instructions accurately.
● Must be located in/near Vevey and available on short notice.
● Support required on weekends as well.
● English communication skills.
