This role delivers cost efficiency, quality, innovation, and sustainability outcomes that enable JJ’s business growth. Serving as the category subject‑matter expert, the Manager partners closely with Supply Chain, Quality, RD, Legal, Finance, and additional stakeholders to contribute to sourcing strategies, shape the supply base, and drive supplier relationships. /p h3Job Function /h3 pProcurement /p h3Job Sub Function /h3 pCategory /p h3Job Category /h3 pProfessional /p h3All Job Posting Locations /h3 pBeerse, Antwerp, Belgium; Latina, Italy; Zug, Switzerland /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Procurement Strategy Execution /h3 ul liSupport JJ IM’s vision of creating a future where disease is a thing of the past. /li liDeploy the Innovative Medicine Supply Chain Procurement Strategy through opportunities identified in your scope and contributing to uplifting capabilities. /li liContribute and execute category sourcing strategies aligned with short-, mid-, and long-term business needs for assigned portfolio. /li liLeverage market intelligence category expertise to assess industry trends, identify value‑creation opportunities, and proactively address supply and cost risks. /li liLead and coordinate medium complexity procurement projects aligned with supply chain strategy. /li /ul h3Supplier Management Contracting /h3 ul liBuild and maintain strong relationships with in-scope suppliers to drive performance, innovation, and continuous improvement. /li liManage supplier selection sourcing processes and due diligence. /li liNegotiate commercial agreements and contracts balancing value, risk, and business continuity. /li liPartner with suppliers and internally to identify cost reductions, quality improvements, and process efficiencies. /li liManage portfolio level contract lifecycle activities with Legal, including renewals and amendments. /li /ul h3Stakeholder Engagement Cross‑Functional Collaboration /h3 ul liParticipate in cross‑functional category and project forums. /li liPartner with Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, and RD to enable product launches and operational readiness. /li liIncorporate stakeholder requirements into actionable sourcing plans. /li liSupport sustainable procurement and execute supplier diversity initiatives. /li /ul h3Financial Management Commercial Impact /h3 ul liDeliver cost‑effective sourcing solutions across existing and new products. /li liDrive cost avoidance and cash‑flow improvements through negotiation plans and execution. /li liLive into financial cycles and business plan deliverables. /li liManage key procurement performance indicators (CIP, Cash, Cost Avoidance, Inflation, etc.). /li /ul h3Risk, Resiliency Compliance /h3 ul liPromptly elevate commercial, supply, quality, and regulatory risks. Drive mitigation actions where appropriate. /li liMaintain contingency and continuity plans. /li liSupport compliance with regulatory and quality requirements. /li /ul h3Data, Tools Continuous Improvement /h3 ul liLeverage procurement systems and analytics for insights and to support decision-making. /li liConsistent use of digital tools and automation opportunities. /li liUse data to drive continuous improvement in supplier and sourcing performance. /li /ul h3Innovation /h3 ul liLeverage category strategy to identify supplier innovation projects based on needs. /li liLead projects through commercialization, ensuring qualification and verification. /li liEnsure appropriate representation from Quality, RD, and Procurement throughout project phases. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 h3Education /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree (preferred fields include Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Supply Chain Management or equivalent); MBA or Master’s degree preferred. /li /ul h3Experience and Skills /h3 h3Required /h3 ul liA minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience, preferably inside and outside Procurement. /li liAnalytical skills required to perform data analyses in support of sourcing strategy development. /li liNegotiation and relationship management experience required. /li liAbility to accomplish projects with suppliers and internal business partners through interpersonal skills, leadership style and broad operational expertise is required. /li liDemonstrated project management and leadership experience in leading cross functional/cross company projects is required. /li liDemonstrated ability to make difficult decisions in a timely fashion is required. /li liPlanning and organizational skills are required. /li liStrong presentation and communication skills are required. /li liFamiliarity with digital and AI tools. /li /ul h3Leadership Behaviors Competencies /h3 ul liResults‑oriented, accountable, and action‑driven. /li liCollaborative relationship‑builder. /li liAgile and adaptable in a fast‑moving environment. /li liHigh ethical standards and governance alignment. /li liCustomer‑focused with a mindset for innovation. /li /ul h3Other Requirements /h3 ul liUp to 20% domestic and international travel may be required. /li /ul h3Preferred Skills /h3 ul liBusiness Data Analysis, Business Savvy, Category Management Strategy, Coaching, Competitive Landscape Analysis, Contract Management, Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA), Critical Thinking, Data Analysis, Market Savvy, Negotiation, New Program Development, Performance Measurement, Process Improvements, Procurement Policies, Relationship Building, Risk Management, Spend Analysis, Strategic Thinking, Supplier Collaboration, Sustainable Procurement, Technical Credibility, Vendor Selection. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
