Responsibilities
* Responsible for the conceptual design and development of scenography and spatial environments for high-end event platforms that enable stakeholder engagement in global thought leadership, community meetings, and business transactions.
* Demonstrate fluidity and flair across the integrated design of event platforms, including UX planning and development, with knowledge in branding, information architecture, wayfinding, materials, finishes, and production design.
* Collaborate within the creative team and with cross-functional departments to develop innovative event concepts and interiors that set industry benchmarks.
Design Leadership & Execution
* Lead and inspire a team of designers, artists, and creatives to deliver innovative concepts that enhance event experiences.
* Oversee the entire design process, ensuring quality, consistency, and attention to detail from initial sketches to final production.
* Lead spatial design, including floor plans, layouts, and configurations, to optimize flow and visual impact.
* Design architectural elements like structures, fixtures, and installations for cohesive environments.
* Select materials, finishes, and textures, considering durability, sustainability, and brand alignment.
* Work with event producers, lighting, and AV teams to integrate design elements seamlessly.
* Consult with clients to understand their vision and translate it into innovative spatial solutions.
* Develop prototypes and visualizations for client feedback and iteration.
* Utilize CAD, 3D modeling, and rendering tools for detailed drawings and specifications.
* Ensure quality and safety standards throughout design and fabrication processes.
* Maintain relationships with vendors, artists, and partners to source unique resources.
* Stay informed on emerging trends and technologies in event design.
Profile
* Bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture, fine arts, or related field; Master's preferred.
* 10+ years in a lead design role focusing on scenography, interior architecture, and spatial environments for events and exhibitions.
* Exceptional portfolio of diverse spatial design projects.
* Expertise in CAD (AutoCAD, SketchUp) and 3D rendering (3ds Max, C4D, V-Ray).
* Strong conceptual, problem-solving, and client translation skills.
* Knowledge of materials, finishes, construction, sustainability, and environmental impact.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strategic understanding of market trends and brand positioning.
* Proven project management skills in fast-paced environments.
* Fluent in English; French is advantageous.
* Knowledge of sustainable design systems is a plus.
