Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your skills by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities
The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite
This role is contributing to Procurement team in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Main stakeholders are Electrification Division.
You will be mainly accountable for:
* Manage sub projects in sourcing and benchmarking activities
* Support the local Power User with our eProcurement tools
* Assist and support in process optimization
* Report on price development and market intelligence
* Master Data correction actions & document management
* External supplier correspondence and KPI tracking and reporting
* Organize and prepare supplier visits and audits
Qualifications for the role
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in economics, engineering, information systems or similar with first supply chain experience
* Fluent in German and English
* Confidential handling of MS Excel
* Good communication skills; shows initiative, self-managing, and well-organized working behavior
* Curiosity and initiative
* SAP knowledge is a plus
* You hold a current valid VISA/work permit for Switzerland or a confirmation for a mandatory internship from your university
