The Supply Chain & Co-Manufacturing Innovation Manager ensures that culinary-led platforms are operationally viable, scalable, and cost-aligned from MVP through commercialization. This role partners with internal teams and external co-manufacturers, as well as internal capabilities to assess feasibility, lead pilot execution, and deliver operational readiness for RTE, RTC, and AFH platforms.
Responsibilities
1. Lead Feasibility & Readiness Assessment: Drive early-stage assessments of MVPs for production, sourcing, and equipment feasibility across regions and partners.
2. Manage Co-Man Strategy & Engagement: Identify, evaluate, and onboard the right co-manufacturing partners for pilot and scale-up—ensuring capability fit, contractual alignment, and technical readiness.
3. Collaborate with Culinary & Product Teams: Partner with Product Development and Food Tech to translate culinary and prep requirements into clear operational needs and manufacturing specifications.
4. Align with Global Supply Chain & Procurement: Serve as the primary contact point to ensure ingredient traceability, vendor compliance, material cost modeling, and operational integration with PepsiCo systems.
5. Pilot Planning & Execution: Lead operational planning, capacity setup, and co-man coordination for culinary platform pilots—including risk assessment, process testing, and KPI tracking.
6. Drive Operational Innovation: Recommend improvements or novel approaches to production workflows that support culinary integrity, agility, and cost control.
7. Partnership Development: Identify and establish relationships with co-manufacturing partners, negotiating contracts and service level agreements to ensure quality and reliability.
8. Process Coordination: Collaborate with co-manufacturers to coordinate production schedules, quality control standards, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
9. Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Project Management, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (, PMP, APICS, Six Sigma) is a plus.
10. Deep experience with pilot planning, vendor qualification, and contract manufacturing across geographies.
11. Strong technical knowledge of food production systems, prep systems, and production constraints.
12. Proven ability to work cross-functionally with culinary, R&D, procurement, and commercialization teams.
13. Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills to secure favourable terms and conditions with suppliers and co-manufacturers.
14. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to assess complex data sets and make informed decisions. Strategic thinker with tactical execution ability in highly matrixed environments.
15. Customer-Centric Approach: A deep understanding of customer needs and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
